Together, We Drive
Georgia Forward

A new plant is only part of this story. Across the state, Rivian is partnering with local schools and organizations to train Georgia’s next generation of engineers and technicians, and to protect the places that make Georgia home.

  • The Rivian Prize at the University of Georgia

Rivian is sponsoring UGA Engineering’s Capstone Program for the next several years. In addition, Rivian is creating a perpetual scholarship fund that will serve to support engineering students with their education.

  • Rivian Scholars at Georgia Institute of Technology

Distinguished engineering students at Georgia Tech will be named Rivian Scholars and awarded scholarships to help defray the cost of their education. Select students may also be offered an internship with Rivian to gain valuable experience in autonomous vehicle technology.

  • Automotive Tech at Georgia Piedmont Technical College

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is a leader in the areas of automotive maintenance and industrial maintenance. Rivian will partner with the college and the Technical College System of Georgia to help train the future workforce of Georgian EV technicians.

  • Gold Sponsor for “Weekend for Wildlife” Annual Fundraiser

Rivian supports the Georgia Department of Natural Resources in their mission to protect and conserve the state’s vital natural and cultural resources.

Vehicles designed for adventure

In the near future, the Georgia plant will manufacture new variants of the all-electric Rivian R2, a midsize SUV with room for five and all their gear, plus two smaller crossovers on the way: the R3, made to be more affordable, and the R3X, for those who want something a little wilder.

A plant made for the people

Thousands of Georgians will make and design vehicles here. All facilities are built to be open and welcoming to everyone making this new manufacturing center run.

A home for big ideas

Rivian’s East Coast headquarters is located directly on the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail. The office will employ up to 500 people once fully built out. The Atlanta office puts another part of Rivian’s Georgia workforce close to the plant.

Who’s Rivian?

Rivian started with a dream to build better vehicles. Today, it’s one of America’s leading electric vehicle makers, known for trucks and SUVs built to explore the world.

Our first vehicles rolled off the line in Normal, Illinois, in 2021. And many years later, we’re ready to build our second automotive home in Georgia.
